Guys, meet Olayinka Owoseni, more known as YIMEEKA. YIMEEKA is a Nigerian music producer, songwriter, sound designer and creative director. Her musically journey began while still in high school at the age of 12 and professionally in 2020. She has gone on to work with notable brands and artists over time.

Despite working as Head of Operations for Kan-Awa, a start-up she co-owns with her friend, Yimeeka has been involved in music to express her thoughts and feelings, and for her voice to be heard.

Her sound is influenced by the likes of Pheelz, Jon Bellion, Ed Sheeran, Benny Blanco and Ryan Tedder. Yimeeka’s genres include Alternative, R&B and Afro-fusion.

Yimeeka is set to release her debut single “Smooth Criminal” on the 6th of October, which features one of her major influences, Pheelz and Yimeeka taking the production credit on the forthcoming single. On smooth criminal, Pheelz continues his run to prove the depth of his artistry as he surfs smoothly through the R&B and Afro-infused instrumental. The song talks about Pheelz being intoxicated by his woman’s body as he reminisces on their last night together, calling it the best ever. “Smooth Criminal” is the lead single off Yimeeka’s upcoming debut EP, “Alter Ego” which is set to be released on the 14th of October. A 7 track multi-genre EP which features Ace producer, Pheelz, D1WAV, Joyce Olong.
