Glasgow-based music production collective Backroom Gossip unveils their latest single “Love’s Hand,” a smooth R&B release shaped by rich musicianship, emotive songwriting, and collaborative studio craft. The duo—comprised of Geoff Angus and Stefan Celosia—continue to develop their distinctive approach to music-making, blending structured composition with organic performance energy.
Formed through what they describe as a series of “convenient mishaps,” Backroom Gossip has evolved into a creative partnership defined by versatility and musical depth. Geoff Angus, a classically trained virtuoso pianist, brings a narrative-driven approach to composition, where each note serves a clear emotional and structural purpose. Stefan Celosia, a multi-instrumentalist and producer, anchors the collective’s rhythmic and production direction, advocating for a relaxed and creatively free recording environment.
“Love’s Hand” features contributions from a rotating cast of vocalists and performers, reflecting the collective’s flexible, collaborative identity. The track itself is rooted in contemporary R&B sensibilities, merging soulful melodies with refined instrumentation and a focus on emotional storytelling. All compositions are written in collaboration with songwriter Dave Will, based in East Kilbride.
Operating from their Glasgow studio, Backroom Gossip continues to build a catalog of releases that emphasize narrative, accessibility, and musical craftsmanship. With “Love’s Hand,” the collective further establishes itself as an emerging force in UK R&B production, with additional releases expected in the near future.
“Love’s Hand” is available now on all major streaming platforms.
