Ayanfe Teams Up Fireboy For the Remix of “LABA LABA”

A year after the release of the original “Laba Laba” alongside DJ Latitude, produced by Wickedd, Ayanfe is back with a sizzling remix featuring the talented Fireboy DML.

“Laba Laba” remix maintains the theme of intense love and the fear of loss. The track merges Swahili, Yoruba, English, Amapiano, and soul sounds in a mesmerizing fusion that leaves you wanting more.

The recurring hook, “Laba laba re ton fo, Jowo yanibo don’t go, Iwo talo fun e sobo, Ah don’t leave me now,” uses the metaphor of a fluttering butterfly to symbolize the delicate nature of love and the plea for the loved one not to leave.

“Collaborating with Fireboy on the remix has been an incredible journey,” shared Ayanfe. “This song is about love, passion, and longing, and Fireboy’s artistry helped bring those emotions to life in an even more powerful way.”

Ayanfe’s vocal style merges soul, Afropop, and R&B—shines through on this track. His transitions between languages add a unique flair, while Fireboy’s delivery amplifies the emotional resonance, making this remix a standout addition to both artists’ catalogs.
