Kelechi Ezenwa drops her first career single this year December 3rd, 2021.
Born in Lagos State, Nigeria. In an era where several people tend to be on the end of some form of sexual harassment, Zen Ez speaks up in her song “Tipsy Opportunist”. She is allowed to get tipsy but she should not be taken advantage of. “No dey take advantage, no dey do ojoro’, i no dey Kolo, shey because I high” is a hook that describes the song in its totality.
A sweet harmonious tune with house music vibes, Zen Ez flows seamlessly on this joint showcasing her undoubted talent in that regard while passing a much-needed message. With her soothing vocals, the artist is able to firmly communicate that regardless of the intoxicated state we may be in, it’s no excuse to take advantage of another sexually. Although this single has an upbeat and groovy sound, Zen Ez ensures to stay socially conscious.
The creative direction and cover art was handled by Khannah Black and it clearly depicts the message that powers this track.

Kelechi Ezenwa professionally known as Zen Ez is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. Born and bred in Lagos, Zen Ez graduated from the University of Lagos obtaining a degree in sociology. She is also a certified Associate Accounting Technician (AAT) and is a Student Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Nigeria (ICAN).
The last child of three, Zen Ez at an early age discovered her sound while being alone. Inspired by nature, she would often look at the trees, the moon, and stars and start singing about them. Growing up, singing and writing for her was one of her best ways to isolate and get away from all the noise.
A diverse artist, Zen Ez is inspired by sounds that range from Rap to Pop to EDM to RnB and Afrosoul. With the release of her new Single “Tipsy Opportunist” and her upcoming EP “Starlight” she hopes to leave a significant mark on the music space.
