French singer-songwriter Jay See continues a new chapter in her artistic journey with the release of the official music video for her single, “Baddie,” available since September 20.
Released earlier in the summer, “Baddie” draws from French urban pop, blending contemporary R&B with Afro-inspired influences. On the track, Jay See reimagines the idea of a Baddie, moving beyond its conventional association with aesthetics and appearance to celebrate a woman who is confident, independent and unapologetically herself.
At its core, the song explores the journey of rediscovering self-worth and confidence after a complicated relationship. Through its upbeat sonic direction and empowering message, “Baddie” presents a portrait of a woman reclaiming her identity and embracing her independence.
The accompanying music video further brings this artistic vision to life, extending the song’s themes through visuals while setting the tone for a new run of releases. Jay See is currently working on an upcoming EP, alongside another single expected to arrive in the coming weeks.
With these releases, the artist continues to develop a distinctive musical and visual identity rooted in contemporary French pop and its diverse influences.
