Cameroonian artist Prince KESTAMG presents “GUESSOM,” a radiant and unifying new single rooted in the Lally musical tradition of Cameroon’s Grassfields region and infused with the celebratory energy of Summer 2026 and the global spirit surrounding the FIFA World Cup. Driven by powerful vocals, balafon melodies, and organic percussion, “GUESSOM” transforms every listen into a collective celebration. More than just a song, it stands as a rallying cry for resilience, fair play, and openness to the world.
Born into the royal lineage of Bandjoun, one of the major traditional chiefdoms of the Bamiléké people, Prince KESTAMG’s musical identity is deeply shaped by cultural heritage and transmission. As a child, he discovered rhythm and voice through his grandmother, a respected traditional practitioner whose rituals blended chants and percussion. This early influence continues to inform his artistry today.
For over a decade, as the leader of the KESTAMG Band, he performed across African stages at festivals, concerts, and cultural events, building his artistic presence through persistence and dedication. Now based in France, he continues to evolve his sound while staying rooted in his origins. His repertoire moves effortlessly between dance-driven records and melodic, reflective pieces, always with the intention to create, share, and connect.
