Singer-songwriter Sydney Sharp returns with “PeaceMan,” a heartfelt new single that explores love as a source of healing rather than conflict. Written during a rainy weekend in early spring 2026, the record unfolds like a melodic prayer, tracing the emotional journey of searching for a soulmate through warm lyricism and soulful melodies.
Built on Afrobeat-inspired rhythms with rich vocal textures, PeaceMan delivers a relaxed yet emotionally resonant listening experience. At its core is a message of peace and human connection, embodied in the song’s refrain: “Love’s not a war, the heart’s not a place for a battleground. Will you be my PeaceMan?” The track embraces vulnerability, inviting listeners to reflect on the transformative power of compassion and genuine connection.
PeaceMan was created in collaboration with acclaimed musician, engineer and producer Alex Enamorado, a Grammy contender whose credits include work alongside Grammy-nominated artists such as Butch Tavares, as well as platinum- and gold-selling producers including Phil Greene. Enamorado crafted the record’s layered production using an Akai MPC, creating a vibrant sonic landscape that complements Sharp’s expressive vocal performance. The collaboration follows their previous work together on “Ghost in My Bed,” the lead single from Sharp’s album Resonate.
Sydney Sharp’s musical foundation began with childhood piano recitals and choir performances before developing into a career as a classical pianist and pop singer-songwriter. Her latest creative evolution sees her embracing Afrobeat influences on Resonate, an R&B-driven project shaped by the empathy and emotional awareness that also defined her careers as a veterinarian and college professor.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind the song, Sharp says:
“A main focus for me in the creation of ‘PeaceMan’ was to utilize the power of a magically dynamic musical track and thoughtful vocal performance to create the takeaway message that the power of love and human connection is unmistakable. I aimed at taking the listener on a journey that encourages reflection on how we treat one another.“
“PeaceMan” is now available on all major streaming platforms.
