LAGOS, NIGERIA — July 2025 — Vogue Boys, the youth-driven culture collective at the forefront of Nigeria’s creative nightlife renaissance, proudly reflects on a groundbreaking second quarter marked by ambitious programming and global cultural impact.
The quarter began with the 5th edition of the annual Easter Cookout, held in April at the historic Freedom Park in Lagos. This signature water-park music festival once again brought thousands together to celebrate the synergy of sound, fashion, and youth culture in the heart of Nigeria’s cultural capital.
In June, the movement went global.
On June 10, 2025, Vogue Boys introduced Italy to the essence of Lagos nightlife at one of the country’s most prestigious cultural institutions, Triennale Milano, as part of the Hyperlocal Club Victoria Island showcase. The takeover featured an eclectic lineup of Nigerian DJs and performers including SL The DJ, XNIA, Grey93, Ademola Falomo, and Barcelona-based Nigerian artist Julrity, alongside Vogue Boys’ resident vibes enforcer Ebuka Nwobu and the collective’s iconic masquerade. Over 1,000 attendees experienced an unforgettable night of high-energy Afro-electronic sounds that resonated through Milan’s creative circles.
Continuing the European tour, Vogue Boys hosted the first international edition of its cult-favorite event series, DIRTY, SEXY RAVE, on June 24 in Paris, coinciding with the opening day of Paris Fashion Week. Within just one hour, the venue reached full capacity, with more than 200 additional RSVPs on the waitlist. The crowd featured cultural tastemakers and creatives including Young Jonn, Rahman Jago, Lady Donli, Cruel Santino, and Joey Lit (Free The Youth).

The DJ roster reflected the collective’s international reach and deep curatorial ethos, with sets by Dre Tala, Carla Genus, and XNIA (Paris); Vivendii Sound and Jeenius (London); Xzavier Zulu (Johannesburg); and Yosa and Aniko (Lagos). The result was an electrifying multi-city, multi-sensory rave experience that amplified African youth culture far beyond the continent.
“These international successes are a strong testament to the global appetite for Nigerian youth expression,” said a Vogue Boys spokesperson. “They validate our mission to build experiences that resonate deeply with local audiences while remaining globally exportable.”
As Vogue Boys looks ahead to Q3 and Q4, the team remains committed to delivering bold, world-class experiences across Nigeria and beyond. Upcoming events are scheduled from July through December in cities across the country.
