8 Best Dressed African Stars at the Met Gala 2024

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City was the prestigious setting for the 2024 Met Gala, which housed some of the biggest stars in showbiz from TV to Film, Music, Fashion, Sports, and even Tech.

Met Gala, an annual event held on the first Monday in May- a practice imbibed since its first major outing in 1948, had its 2024 theme rallied across the pollination of Fashion and Technology, intersecting both fields to accentuate the innovative oomph usually accompanied by groundbreaking artistry; which is what fashion ultimately is.

Known for its discreet attendance, the Met Gala didn’t divert from its strictly by-invitation policy; which makes the mega soiree a mystique. However, a piece of the veil was lifted when it was priorly announced that Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, and Chris Hemsworth, would be guests at the event, standing as co-chairs alongside Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Dame Anna Wintour.

The event, also a fundraiser for the Costume Institute, was a night that saw inventory looks from A-list celebrities worldwide, including stars from Africa/African descent.

Here are 8 of our favorite looks of the famed night.
