With the likes of Rema, Fireboy and Ckay breaking records, surpassing the pace set by the OGs. Again, the future of Afrobeats is in extremely safe hands. Today, we spotlight a young, beautiful, and amazing singer.
Meet Qing Madi also known as D glitch, a fast-rising R&b, and Afrobeat singer. Qing Madi is a young and talented teenage artist who is blessed with good vocals to back up her pen game; which has been able to get thousands of streams across various streaming platforms.
She began to garner attention and fame when she released her debut single “see finish” in October 2022. The song ranked 87 in the Apple Music top 100 Naija, a huge step for the singer. The single was produced by Ramoni, famed for being the mastermind behind some of Blaqbonez’s top hits.
Madi has been getting endorsements from a lot of top players in the industry. She was one of the lineup artists to perform at the second February outreach of Blaqbonez’s “Breaking the yoke of love” on the 10th of February, ISL fest, and Victony’s ‘Outlawville’ in December 2022.
The video to her debut single “see finish” premiered on Mtvbase, now, she’s back with her sophomore single “why” which is set to be released on the 17th of March.
