Upper Spotlight: Noon Dave

Hey upper fam, welcome to another spotlight segment…

This week, we focus on Noon Dave, a young, vibrant, soulful, and talented act signed to one of the leading labels in the country, Chocolate City.

Born Oluwaseun Obafemi David, Noon Dave is a singer and songwriter signed to Chocolate city music. He is an amazing talent who blends R&b, trap, dancehall, and Afro into his music. He also plays the guitar; which aids in his songwriting.

His debut single “too late” was released in 2021; before he further went on to sign for the chocolate city. Under the record label, he released ‘Brunch’- his first work of the imprint. Brunch was different from his previous works and easily pierced through the hearts of listeners.

Noon Dave claims the inspiration behind ‘Brunch’ came from a Saint Jhn beat-style instrumental. Noon Dave has been relatively silent in the music space for a while now; though he occasionally graces the stage to show support to label mate, Blaqbonez.

Now, he seeks a return with his latest and first single of the year, ‘Hillary’, an Afro-pop tune that explores a variety of themes such as heartbreaks. The song was produced by Ramoni. Since its release, ‘Hillary’ has received positive reviews from Music listeners, while making it to editorial playlists and gaining impressive airplay.

Hopefully, this vibrant release serves as an appetizer for his debut body of work, as we patiently anticipate seeing what more he has in store.
