The rivalry between Wizkid and Davido, two of the most popular singers in Nigeria has endured for over a decade and the popular Afrobeats stars appear to be at loggerheads again.
Davido and Wizkid’s rivalry initially spawned out of friendly competition but has increasingly morphed into bitter altercations that keep resurfacing.
In the latest development, Wizkid seems to be the perpetrator of the rekindled back-and-forth.
It started when the ‘Essence’ singer responded to a Twitter user who had implied that the star’s degrading previous tweet which reads: ‘Pussy Boys dropping mids again‘ was a ploy to promote his (Wizkid’s) forthcoming music by steering up controversy.
In the response, Wizkid outwardly called the ‘Feel’ singer ‘Wack’, advertently riling up the tabloids with the straight jab which has, in turn, led many to be convinced that there is still no love lost between both Afrobeats pioneers.
