Growing up between Nigeria and the United States has undoubtedly shaped BLNDE’s perspective. “I guess technically I’m Nigerian-American in the sense that I’ve spent equal amounts of my life in both places and I think naturally that shows up in the music,” she shares. A defining moment in BLNDE’s career came during her first homecoming performance in 2023. “I think my first time performing at homecoming solidified my artistry to a lot of people,” she recalls. “It was my first time incorporating dance which is so big for me, I designed the sound with my producer Ci, and my stage look and merch for the dancers, it was overall very fulfilling.” This experience marked a turning point, propelling her towards greater heights.
